Things To Know Before You Turn 20
At the age of 20 you are probably ready to face the real world. This is the stage where you realize you are not a Teenager anymore. You will probably be in the final year of your college life and you should be ready to face the real world outside which is completely a different one that you have experienced till date. This Article is not to scare you about life after 20’s. This will be your guide that you should know before your twenties, which will help you in future.
1) It is important to know who your friends are
Why is this the most important thing? The environment has a tremendous impact on your life, and your friends are an integral part of it. It is vital to choose the right friends. Choosing the right friends can make all the difference. Your friends should encourage you and push you into challenges that will help you grow. Don’t forget that you are a friend to others as well, so be sure to treat them similarly.
2. You’re never too young to do things
As a society, we follow social norms that we usually take for granted. Do not listen to anyone who tells you that you’re too young to do that, or do that. Just because someone did things in a different manner, doesn’t mean they know more than you. The things that matter are you and your decision. If you are confident enough, just go for it. Don’t stop yourself by thinking you are young. You’re never too young. Just Remember : The earlier, the better.
3. Don’t Limit yourself
Try to experiment as much as you can. Don’t hesitate to do new things, try as much as new things and learn from it. Travel, incorporate new hobbies, develop skills etc. Try stuff out and understand as much as you can so you can gain knowledge about the world that you live in. It’s something that every human being should do.
4. Nobody needs to approve of you
In order to accomplish things, you need to actually do them. If you seek someone’s approval, you will be affected. Your plan gets spoiled. Your things change differently. Because, even if you are strong, if you allow others to express their opinions to you, you will subconsciously consider them, thus things will be affected dramatically. So just go for it, if you want to do it.
5. Mental Health and Physical Health both are important
The brain and body need 6–8 hours of sleep in order to regenerate and refresh, so don’t skip your sleep. Get proper nutrition, eat stuff that is good for your health. It doesn’t mean you should not try new stuff, You can try but know what you are eating and have a balanced diet. Concentrate on your mental health as well, the world is full of hurry and stress, so give yourself time to relax. To maintain both mental and physical health: eat good, sleep well and smile a lot.
6. Face your fears
You must face your fears, no matter how hard it may sound. You will grow only by facing your fears. Don’t overthink. Go for it and you’ll see for yourself a tremendous change. Fear has the power to hold people back from achieving greatness. You have to face fear if you want great things to happen.
